Mr. Thissa Dias who was a songwriter, singer, screenwriter, actor, announcer and film director passed away today (02).
Born on May 04, 1958, he is best known as a lyricist.
He had composed many songs for HR Jotipala. Among them, there were many songs like ‘Me Nonimena Divi Gamane’, ‘Piyaneni Ma’, ‘Punchi Doni Tharahawela’, ‘Dahaduk Winde’, ‘Pathana De Sun Wenam’, ‘Vinodayen Inne’, ‘Sura Bee Mathweela’, ‘Dedena Derataka’.
The movie “Sellam Nathnam Lellam” released in 2017 is his directorial.
He, who was also the screenwriter of that movie, also joined it as an actor.
