The period for calling for applications from people seeking other government subsidies including Samurdhi allowance has been extended till the 15th.
Samurdhi Development Director General Mr. Bandula Thilakasiri mentioned that that period was supposed to end today.
He stated that the purpose of this decision is to provide opportunities for more people to submit applications for government subsidies.
Under this, the people seeking Samurdhi, elderly, disabled and kidney patient subsidies can submit their applications to the regional secretaries through the village officials’ offices.
Accordingly, he also mentioned that the application can be forwarded through any officer of the village officer’s domain, such as the Samurdhi Development Officer, Agriculture Research and Production Assistant, Development Officer and Village Officer.
The director general said that all the people currently receiving government allowances should also fill this application.
