The All Ceylon Egg Producers Association says that steps have been taken to release an egg to the market for less than Rs.50.
Its chairman Mr. Sarath Ratnayake said that the ministry has decided to reduce the price of raw materials used for poultry food.
Accordingly, egg producers will be able to release eggs to the market at the maximum retail price available, he said.
