The distribution of Litro Gas will be resumed from today as the letter of credit issue has been resolved by now, said its Chairman Thushara Jayasinghe.
He said that despite the shortage of gas due to difficulties in opening the letters of credit, the state banks had agreed to issue letters of credit for the release of gas stocks as a result of lengthy discussions with the relevant departments last night.
He further stated that the two ships that have arrived in the island are currently unloading gas and it is planned to release 80,000 cylinders daily to the market.
