Cabinet has approved a proposal made by the Minister of Energy Udaya Gammanpila, to award a long-term contract to a UAE company for the importation of 1.8 million barrels of petrol for a period of 08 months with a view to alleviating the existing fuel shortage.
It has been decided to award the contract for the import of Octane 92 petrol to M/s OQ Trading Limited in the United Arab Emirates for a period of eight months from 2022.02.15 to 2022.10.14.
