Former Cabinet Minister Gunaratne Weerakoon passed away last night at a private hospital in Colombo at the age of 74.
He was also the former Chief Organizer of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party in the Karandeniya electorate.
The last rites of the former minister will take place tomorrow.
