Asela Sampath, president of the All Ceylon Restaurant Owners’ Association, told newswaveLK that restaurants may stop selling cooked food, including rice, in the next few days.
He said the situation had arisen with the decision of Litro Gas Company to stop supplying gas to the market.
He added that large and small restaurants in urban and rural areas were at risk of closing for several days due to the gas cut.
