The unveiling ceremony of the new stupa of the Kadurupokuna Jayasundara Purana Viharaya – Tangalle was held with the participation of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday afternoon (06th November).
The tower of the new stupa was unveiled by the Most Ven. Vitharandeniye Gnanaratana Thero- Chief Incumbent of the Jayasundara Purana Viharaya and first offering of flowers were offered by the Hon. Prime Minister.
Most Ven. Omare Kassapa Thero- Anunayake of the Rohana Chapter of the Syamapali Maha Nikaya, Mr. Somawansa Kodagoda- Chairman of the Southern Provincial Council and a large number of devotees were present at the occasion.
