A study by American researchers has shown that the immunizations of the Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines used to control Covid have dropped significantly over a six-month period.
Accordingly, the effectiveness of the Pfizer vaccine has dropped from 89% to 58%, the effectiveness of the Moderna vaccine from 87% to 43% and the Johnson & Johnson vaccine from 86% to 13%.
Minister of State Channa Jayasumana told the media that as many of the country’s population has received Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, the government is keeping a close eye on them.
He further stated, “Researchers are suggesting to give the third dose and make it seriously mandatory to wear masks, keeping a distance from each other. Research has shown that the current trend is not good for December. “
