President Xi emphasized the significant progress made over the past decade by countries united under the ‘Belt and Road Initiative.’ The program, evolving from a formal plan to tangible reality, has witnessed numerous milestone projects worldwide, benefitting diverse populations. These projects include highways, railways, airports, ports, and a robust global coordination network.
China’s efforts in establishing connectivity through land, sea, air, and the Internet have facilitated the exchange of goods, funds, technology, and personnel among nations. The ‘Belt and Road Initiative’ continues to exemplify a vision of cooperation, collaboration, and international harmony, promoting not only the development of participating nations but also global interconnectivity and mutual growth. Sri Lanka, represented by President Ranil Wickremesinghe, stands alongside other nations in this monumental endeavor towards a prosperous and interconnected future.
