Chinese President Xi Jinping holds talks with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. The discussion was held yesterday (22) in the morning at the Presidential Palace in Pretoria, South Africa.
Under the leadership of President Ramaphosa, South Africa has won many national development achievements. Also, Mr. Xi Jinping points out that South Africa’s international influence is increasing day by day. He also said that China is pleased with that and wishes for optimal development.
The common aspiration of both countries is to strengthen coordination by expanding friendship as well as cooperation. Mr. Xi Jinping also said that Ramaphosa will make efforts together with the President to promote China-South Africa comprehensive strategic partnership.
Mr. Ramaphosa said here that he fully supports the activities as well as the proposals on common achievements presented by the Chinese President. He also emphasized that Southern Hemisphere countries, including South Africa, are looking forward to expanding unity and cooperation with China in order to face the challenges together and build a fair international procedure with high equality.
After the discussion, in the presence of the two leaders, bilateral cooperation documents were signed on many fields including ‘One Belt One Road’, new energy, agricultural products and higher education. The ‘Joint Declaration between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of South Africa’ was also published here.
