The Sri Lanka Village Officials Association says that village officials in all domains will go on sick leave today (06) and tomorrow (07) on a token strike.
Mr. Neville Wijayaratne, the National Organizer of the Sri Lanka Village Officials Association, said that he will continue the strike based on several demands while joining a press conference held yesterday (05) in Kandy.
The main objective of this strike is to establish the service constitution, get offices, uniforms, stationery, travel expenses in a formal manner.
There are over 14,000 rural service domains in the country.
