Discussions have started regarding the preparation of a common framework for the policy statements presented by the political parties aiming at the presidential election.
Mr. Rohana Hettiarachchi, executive director of Paffarel organization, mentioned that the political parties have also submitted related proposals for this purpose.
Mr. Hettiarachi pointed out that the presidential election must be held before the 17th of October.
Mr. Rohana Hettiarachchi said that an awareness program is currently being conducted jointly with the Election Commission targeting voters who will vote for the first time in the upcoming elections.
