The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority states that 25,619 tourists have visited the island from the 1st to the 4th of January.
The largest number of tourists, 5,060, came from Russia, while 3,333 tourists came from India.
In addition, the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority states that most of the tourists come from Germany, Britain, Australia, China, France, the Netherlands, and America.
In the last year alone, 1,487,303 tourists have visited the island, and this year the number is expected to increase to 23 lakh.
