Chinese President Xi Jinping arrives in America.
On the evening of the 14th local time, President Xi Jinping arrived at San Francisco Airport in the United States on a special plane. According to the invitation of American President Joe Biden, the Chinese President is going to join a meeting between the leaders of the two countries in the city of San Francisco.
The Chinese President will also attend the 30th APEC Leaders’ Meeting in America.
A group of senior American officials arrived at the airport and welcomed the Chinese President with great enthusiasm. American Treasury Secretary Janet L. Yellen, Governor of California Gavin Newsom and American Ambassador to China R. Nicholas Burns were among them. Mr. Xie Feng, the Chinese Ambassador to America, was also present to welcome the Chinese President.
Chinese citizens living in the country and Chinese students studying in America lined up on both sides of the road where President Xi Jinping arrived from the airport to the hotel. They waved Chinese and American national flags and warmly welcomed President Xi Jinping.
Meanwhile, a media center of the China Media Group has been opened in San Francisco for reporting on the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to America.
More than 180 reporters representing China Media Group’s Beijing headquarters, North American Center, United Nations Center and CGTN North American branch are joining it.
China Media Group’s radio, television and new media integrated communication spaces and communication facilities in 68 languages will make that reporting globally widespread.
