Operations to rescue Trapped in the Collapsed Indian Tunnel Continues

0

Operations to rescue workers trapped after a tunnel collapsed in India’s Uttarakhand region continued for the third day.

Due to the bad weather conditions, a part of the tunnel collapsed and these workers are trapped and a large number of people, including about 150 people from India’s National Disaster Response Force, have joined the rescue operations.

Indian media reports that rescue teams have been able to contact the trapped people and have been able to provide them with the oxygen and food they need. Accordingly, a metal pipe with a diameter of 900 mm is directed into the tunnel and it is planned to release the trapped people.

The Indian media reports that the pipes required for that have already been received by the rescue teams.
