Plane crashes on highway in Malaysia – 10 died

Ten people have died after a private plane crashed on the highway north of the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, the country’s media reported.

The crashed plane was a small jet used for private flights and it was about to land at an airport near the capital Kuala Lumpur. According to the report, the crashed plane collided with a motorcycle and a car traveling on the road and they died in the incident.

The Malaysian authorities also state that there were six passengers and two crew members when the plane crashed. Authorities say the crashed plane was a Beechcraft Model 390 (Premier 1) light private business jet.

Authorities state that the plane collided with a motorcycle and a car traveling on the highway after losing contact with the air traffic control tower. The Malaysian Aviation Authority states that there was no notification that the plane was in a state of emergency before the crash.

The Malaysian Civil Aviation Authority said the plane had departed from the resort island of Langkawi and was en route to Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Selangor, near the capital Kuala Lumpur.

However, the Malaysian Police and Civil Aviation Authority have started a special investigation regarding the incident.
