Colombo District Health Services Director, and Specialist Dr. Chandana Gajanayake says that there are about 2,000 leprosy cases in Sri Lanka every year.
He mentioned that about 10% of them are reported among children.
Specialist Dr. Chandana Gajanayake points out that leprosy only appears as a white spot for a long time, so many people ignore it as a disease.
