From January 2023, the Department of Motor Transport is going to start a program to educate people through the media about the air pollution situation in Sri Lanka.
Motor Transport Commissioner General Mr. Nishantha Anuruddha Weerasinghe mentioned that the Central Environmental Authority and the National Building Research Institute have jointly prepared a model for releasing information.
From January 2023, the public will have the opportunity to know the data and information about the “Circulating Air Condition” sent to the media daily through news broadcasts and daily weekly newspapers.
