The Ministry of Justice, Prisons, and Constitutional Reforms has taken steps to suspend the Colombo Commercial High Court fiscal in connection with the detention of a Russian ‘Aeroflot’ aircraft at the Katunayake Airport.
He is accused of abusing the judicial process in enforcing the interim order issued by the Colombo Commercial High Court in connection with the detention of the aircraft.
A lawyer involved in the case has also been charged. It is said that the Ministry of Justice is taking steps to take legal action against that lawyer as well.
