The Cabinet has approved the awarding of a long-term contract to a Singaporean company to import petrol and diesel for eight months simultaneously.
The statement issued by the Cabinet Office in this regard is as follows.
Bids have been invited from registered suppliers of the Petroleum Corporation for the award of the contract for long-term import of 1,341,000 + 10 / – 5% of petrol (92 Unl) barrels and 459,000 + 10 / – 5% of petrol (95 Unl) barrels over a period of eight months from 2022-01-01 to 2022-08-31.
Also, Bids have been invited from registered bidders of the Petroleum Corporation to award the long-term contract for long term import of 1,137,500 + 10 / – 5% diesel (maximum sulfur content 0.05) barrels and 262,500 + 10 / – 5% diesel (maximum sulfur percentage 0.001) barrels for a period of eight months from 2022-01-01 to 2022-08-31.
Accordingly, as per the recommendation of the Special Standing Committee on Procurement appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers, the proposal made by Hon. Minister of Energy to fund the relevant procurement by M/s Vitol Asia Pte, Ltd., Singapore was approved by the cabinet.
