Basil Rajapaksa, Minister of Finance says that a formal plan should be formulated to build the confidence of investors, credit rating agencies as well as the business community to uplift the economy.
The Minister of Finance today instructed Minister of State Ajith Nivard Cabraal to expedite this process.
Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa was speaking at a special discussion on current credit ratings and related issues chaired by him at the Finance Ministry this morning (22).
Nimal Siripala de Silva, Minister of Labor, Dr. Bandula Gunawardena, Minister of Trade, Dr. Ramesh Pathirana, Minister of Plantation Affairs, Prasanna Ranatunga, Minister of Tourism, Udaya Gammanpila, Minister of Energy, Ajith Nivard Cabraal, Minister of State, Finance Minister Ratnasekera, Governor and Representatives of the Central Bank and representatives of the Ministry of Finance were present in this meeting.
