According to the National Transport Commission, there will be no revision of the fares according to the national bus fare policy even if the fuel price has gone down.
The commission said this in a statement.
From midnight on the 30th, the price of a liter of Lanka white diesel was reduced by 30 rupees to 333 rupees.
The commission points out that when the price reduction is adjusted to the relevant price formula, the bus fare revision will not affect the overall running cost of one kilometer by a sufficient percentage.
