A court order preventing Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka from being removed from the Samagi Jana Balawegaya party’s positions has been issued.
Accordingly, this interim order has been issued to be effective for a period of 14 days.
The Colombo District Court issued this order today (January 19) after considering a petition filed by Mr. Sarath Fonseka making several SJB members including party leader Sajith Premadasa as respondents.
Currently the chairman position of Samagi Jana Balawegaya party is held by MP Sarath Fonseka.
