Sri Lanka is planning to waive visa fees for tourists from five countries: China, Russia, India, Thailand, and Indonesia. Tourists from these nations will be able to obtain visas upon arrival in Sri Lanka without any charges. While the visa will be provided for free, it will still be necessary for security purposes.
This move aims to boost tourism and attract more visitors from these countries. Sri Lanka is actively working towards the goal of welcoming five million tourists annually in the coming years. Additionally, Sri Lanka has been recommended as a destination by China among the 20 countries for its citizens to visit.
