The Department of Meteorology says that the Southwest Monsoon has become active over the island.
As a result, an increase in the rain conditions in the south-western part is expected tomorrow (September 01).
In some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces and in Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts, rains above 100 mm are possible.
People are advised to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may accompany thunderstorms.
