The Jaffna Kings team managed to win by 21 runs against the Colombo Strikers in the opening match of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023 organized by Sri Lanka Cricket.
Colombo R. The Jaffna bowlers managed to restrict Colombo Strikers to 152 runs in 19.4 overs in the match held last night (30th) at R. Premadasa Stadium.
Skipper Niroshan Dickwella scored 58 runs in 34 balls with 9 fours and a six and brought the Colombo Strikers to a strong position but they were defeated due to the failure of the other batsmen.
For Jaffna, Bangladeshi batsman Towhid Hridoy scored an unbeaten 54 off 39 balls with 4 fours and a six.
