A young businessman who was participating in the wedding ceremony has died after being hit on the head by a firecracker lit in a wedding ceremony.
This wedding ceremony took place in the Thambuttegama Thekkawatta area last night (26).
Dhanushka Lakmal Jayathilaka, a 31-year-old businessman residing in the same area, has died.
The police say that the businessman was attending a wedding ceremony held near his home when a firecracker that had been lit did not light up, and when he went to light it again, it caught fire and hit him on the head. He died after being hospitalized.
