A recent survey conducted by the Department of Immigration has revealed that despite obtaining foreign passports, only about 30% of them have gone abroad.
Immigration Controller General Harsha Ilukpitiya said that although more than 2,000 people obtain foreign passports daily, the majority of them are looking for jobs while holding foreign passports.
It is essential that a Passport is in hand to seek foreign employment.
