The Sri Lanka Medical Council has rejected a request made by the Secretary of the Ministry of Health to cancel the registration of 4 doctors who have left the service without notice.
Sri Lanka Medical Council Chairman Professor Vajira Dissanayake has informed the Health Secretary that the Sri Lanka Medical Council acts according to the law and if it is felt that the doctors have acted against medical ethics, then to take further action accordingly.
Mr. Janaka Sri Chandaguptha had addressed a letter to the Sri Lanka Medical Council, stating the names of four doctors who had left the service, requesting to cancel their registration.
