Mr. Sri Ranga has been elected as the new president of the Sri Lanka Football Federation.
It was during the Sri Lanka Football Federation’s official election held today.
Mr. Sri Ranga, who got 27 votes from 56 football leagues, was elected as the president of the Sri Lanka Football Federation, while his opponent, Mr. Jagath Rohana, got 24 votes.
The official election committee had removed former president Mr. Jaswar Umar because an appeal had been filed against him.
Mr. Jagath Rohana had contested from his side.
The board of officers elected from this office will work in those positions for a period of five months.
The official election is scheduled to be held again before May 31 this year.
