Yesterday, the disciplinary officer of the university filed a complaint with the Peradeniya Police stating that the student who is studying in the first year of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences of the University of Peradeniya has made a complaint to the university website stating that he is involved in harassment by receiving calls and obscene videos through social media.
According to the Police Media Spokesman’s Office, the concerned student is receiving education through the online system and he lodged a complaint online through the university’s complaint website mentioning that he’s receiving calls through WhatsApp social media and sending obscene videos and doing acts related to university rag.
The Police Media Spokesperson’s Office confirms that the related audio tapes and video tapes have been handed over to a disciplinary control professor of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences of the university and they have also been submitted to the police.
The Peradeniya Police stated that an investigation is being conducted regarding this complaint.
