An artillery attack from North Korea on the buffer zone of Korea

South Korea has indicated that a series of artillery attacks from North Korea hit the buffer zone that separates North and South Korea.

As reported by the Star Time news service, the commanders of the Seoul army in South Korea have confirmed that there was an attack.

It is suspected that the attack was a response to statements by Seoul and Washington officials that Pyongyang’s recent launches could end in a nuclear test.

South Korea also alleged that three intercontinental ballistic missiles were tested during the artillery attack.

The buffer zone was established in 2018 in an effort to reduce tensions between the two sides, and the attack was a “clear violation” of that agreement, Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said.
