Mahinda Vidyalaya, Galle has appointed a new principal after 7 years.
Accordingly, the school’s new Principal is Athula W. Nanayakkara, a first-grade officer in the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service.
Athula Nanayakkara was working as the Principal of Lumbini College, Colombo.
The letter regarding the new appointment was issued by the Secretary to the Ministry of Education Prof. Kapila C. K. Perera today (08).
Mahinda Vidyalaya had been without a permanent principal for nearly 07 years and at that time the work of the principal was covered by Deputy Principal Gamini Jayawardena.
Appointment for the new Principal were approved by the Public Service Commission on April 8, 2021.
