The distribution of fuel has been temporarily stopped to 12 fuel stations that contributed the least to the current QR system in providing fuel.
The Ministry of Power and Energy announced that they have observed how fuel stations have been working using the QR system in a progress review meeting with the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation’s trading division.
Accordingly, they announced that they decided to temporarily stop the distribution of fuel to about 12 filling stations that have contributed the least to that system.
It has also been told to provide the information received as public complaints to the relevant police stations and to carry out regulatory activities continuously.
