Management Service Officers have been temporarily attached to the Immigration and Emigration Department.
This decision has been taken by the Ministry of Public Administration.
The Director General of Integrated Services of the Ministry of Public Administration has informed that to all heads of institutions yesterday (06).
The Controller General of Immigration and Emigration has made a request to assign these people for a period of three months on a temporary basis due to the increase in the number of daily clients visiting the Colombo office of the Immigration and Emigration Department.
Accordingly, it is stated that it has been decided to assign to the Immigration Department for a period of three months for the officers of the Management Service Officer Service who reside 10 kilometers away from the main office of the Battaramulla Immigration Department.
It is reported that the Director General of Integrated Services has informed all heads of institutions to submit the requests and recommendations of the officers who wish to work in the day and night shift system before the 11th of June.
The Director General of Integrated Services has informed that this is considered as an urgent need and that the assignments will be made according to the order of receiving the requests.
