An undiagnosed fever is spreading rapidly among children, said Dr. Deepal Perera, a specialist at the Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital in Colombo.
Dr. Deepal Perera said that a significant number of children suffering from the disease are currently receiving treatment at the Ridgeway Children’s Hospital.
The specialist doctor also said that parents are requested to save their children from this undiagnosed fever which is not a dengue fever but a viral fever.
If there is a fever for more than three days or have any other symptoms, parents are requested to see a doctor as soon as possible, said Dr. Deepal Perera.
