Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has strongly condemned the attack occured in front of Temple Trees and at the gall face ground against the peaceful protesters engaged in a peaceful protest.
He also said that the youths who were involved in the struggle had expressed their opposition in a democratic manner.
Therefore, all those who have done wrong should be punished and everyone is told that they cannot engage in politics using the old techniques, he said.
He said the response from all of us was not enough and that the mistake should be accepted as the government were hasn’t taken a quick move to make a difference.
He added that if the conflict continues, economic pressure will also be increased.
