Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa says he will accept any challenge based on the implementation of the 21st Amendment.
He said after meeting the Bar Association of Sri Lanka this morning (08) that the important thing at the moment is not to wear crowns or bear positions but to fulfill social and national responsibility and to make all possible sacrifices for that.
He said that at a time when the country is in a state of catastrophe, the Samagi Jana Balawewa and the Samagi Jana Alliance are committed to building the country and will not hesitate to make any sacrifice for it.
The Leader of the Opposition said that it was essential to abolish the executive presidency and strengthen democracy in accordance with the 21st Amendment introduced by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya and the Samagi Jana Alliance and build a functioning government through accountability and accountability.
The Leader of the Opposition said that there was no major discrepancy between the resolution submitted by the Bar Association of Sri Lanka and the 21st Amendment submitted by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya and that steps would be taken to take a number of progressive steps based on those proposals.
The Leader of the Opposition said that the dictatorial executive presidency was the main reason for the current crisis and that it should be abolished immediately.
The Leader of the Opposition called on the Bar Association to intervene in the matter and to support the progressive efforts of the Samagi Jana Balawewa to bring democracy to the country.
