All events, including weddings, will be barred for two weeks starting from May 3, to contain the spread of Covid-19 Army Commander Gen. Shavendra Silva said.
This was discussed at a meeting today for a discussion of measures to be taken at this juncture. The government decided to increase treatment facilities for patients since a surge of Covid cases is expected during the next two weeks.
