Senior Deputy Governor of the Central Bank Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe has expressed his willingness to take over as the new Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
Nandalal Weerasinghe, who is currently residing in Australia, is scheduled to return to Sri Lanka on the 7th to take over as the new Governor of the Central Bank. He has stated this to the BBC News Service.
Nandalal Weerasinghe was the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka from 2011 to 2020 and from 2010 to 2012 he was the Alternative Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund for Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh and Bhutan.
