Island-wide raids to find traders hiding essential items

The Consumer Affairs Authority says they have launched island-wide raids to find traders hiding essential items.

Its chairman, retired Major General Shantha Dissanayake, said he had received complaints that some traders were hiding essential items.

The Consumer Affairs Authority says they will strictly enforce the law against traders who hide essential goods amidst current condition in the country.
