Shehan Semasinghe, Minister of State for Samurdhi, Home Economics, Microfinance and Self-Employment says that discussions have been initiated with Middle Eastern countries to obtain US $ 2000 million in financial assistance to Sri Lanka soon.
The Minister of State also stated that discussions are being held with financial institutions including the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund to resolve the current exchange crisis.
