An agreement between Sri Lanka Handicrafts Board ‘Laksala’ and Zhejiang Boswin Technology Private Limited was signed with the participation of State Minister for Batik Handloom Textiles and Local Apparel Manufacturing Dayasiri Jayasekara at the State Ministry Auditorium yesterday (18).

This is in addition to the revenue earned by the Sri Lanka Handicrafts Board (Laksala) for the exported goods, a percentage of the monthly sales turnover of the Chartered Dealer, an annual ‘Royalty Fee’ for using the prestigious ‘Laksala’ brand in China will also be received.

Dayasiri Jayasekara, Minister of State for Batik, Handicrafts, Textiles and Indigenous Apparel Products, launched a unique initiative to export local craftsmen’s products to encourage the local economy and local manufacturers on a concept.

Simultaneously, an agreement was signed to establish the Sixth Chartered Marketing Agency in Zhejiang, China.

Chairman of Sri Lanka Handicrafts Board Mr. Lakmal Wickramarachchi, Laksala Board of Directors, Chairman, Zijiang Boswin Company Mr. Prasad Vidanage, Deputy Ambassador of Sri Lanka to China, Secretary to the Ministry of State and many other government officials were present on the occasion.
