The song ‘Poojaneeya Adara Kathawa – An Unfulfilled Sacred Love Story’ about the life and love of a father and daughter of war heroes on the battlefield for the country has been released today.
The lyrics for the song were written by Secretary of Defense, Retired General Kamal Gunaratne.
It was composed by veteran musician Suresh Maliyadda and sung by Kanchana Anuradhi.
General Kamal Gunaratne, who has authored several books on the battlefield experience, including the ‘Ranamaga Osse Nandikadal’ book, has released his latest creation in the form of music.
Hundreds of thousands of such fathers and daughters lived among the thousands of national heroes of the past who were commemorated on the 74th Independence Day as well as the thousands of Sri Lankans who have been battered by 30 years of terrorism.
Defense Secretary Kamal Gunaratne and his daughter were also among such fathers and daughters.
