Veteran stage and teledrama actor Gamini Ambalangoda passed away today (9).
Mr. Ambalangoda, who fell ill due to an accident in 2016, was 66 years old at the time of his death.
He joined the field of aesthetics by performing in the stage play ‘Singala Gosthare’ and later contributed to many popular stage dramas such as ‘Swarnapali’, ‘Rajagahe Nadagama’, ‘Rookada Rajje’ and ‘Dikthala Kalagola’.
He has also acted in a number of teledramas including ‘Adaraniya Purnima’ and ‘Adara Wasanthaya’.
