It has been decided to suspend the sale of milk tea in restaurants.
A cup of milk tea which was Rs. 40 has now risen to Rs. 60.
The All Ceylon Restaurant Owners’ Association says that the decision was taken as it is not possible to increase the price of milk tea further with the increase in the price of milk powder.
A 400g packet of milk powder has been increased by Rs. 60 and 1kg packet of milk powder has been increased by Rs. 150 from today.
