National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) in Rajagiriya, led by Army Commander General Shavendra Silva, which was so far been active in controlling the covid epidemic has taken steps to stop all prevention, control, quarantine and all coordination activities related to the Covid epidemic.
Accordingly, the Center will henceforth function as the Green Agriculture Operations Center, Army Commander Shavendra Silva announced.
The National Action Center for the Prevention of Covid opened on March 16, 2020 and since then it ran for almost one year and nine months.
From now on, operations related to green agriculture will be carried out under the leadership of the Army Commander on the instructions of the President.
