It is reported that the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Prof. W. D. Mr. Lakshman is due to resign from the post in the near future.
A spokesman for the Central Bank of Sri Lanka said that all arrangements had been made to send the resignation letter of Prof. Lakshman to the President.
Following the resignation of Prof. Lakshman as the Governor of the Central Bank, will be elevated to a higher post in the International Monetary Fund (IMF), according to Central Bank sources.
