A technical team at the University of Moratuwa is reportedly recovering deleted data on drugs from the National Drug Regulatory Authority.

Sources from the National Drug Regulatory Authority say that 5623 files belonging to the National Drug Regulatory Authority have been lost in the database.

However, a spokesman for the authority said that the files were not the main files.

The database of the National Drug Regulatory Authority was digitized in 2018 and it is suspected that the database may have been erased due to a technical error, the spokesman said.
